Sludge is a dinobot and a military dinobot autobot reassigned to the rescue bots along with fellow dinobot Autobot snarl. He is buddies with Grimlock like Snarl. He grow a friendship with Hoist.
He and Snarl were in charge of the academy while everyone else is gone. Although agreeing to be responsible,they ended up spending the day playing at the academy. After relaxing,he and Snarl were called on a rescue mission,where they became heroes of the day. Back at the academy,they cleaned everything up,pretty much to Heatwave,Bumblebee and Grimlock's surprise.
