The Mayor Luskey Dome a large force field dome that covers the island of Griffin Rock to protect it from danger. The dome is projected from four mighty half-arches which can be extended to deploy the dome and retract into the sea when it is not needed. The dome's systems, controllable either from the main laboratory or a smaller station across town, also include an atmosphere generator, to keep the island in oxygen.
